The government has increased the prices of petrol, diesel and kerosene. The government has increased the price of petrol by Rs 21 per liter and diesel and kerosene by Rs 27 per liter with effect from 12 noon on Sunday.
According to a press release issued by the Nepal Oil Corporation, petrol will cost Rs 199, diesel and kerosene Rs 192 per liter in the Kathmandu Valley along with the new price. The price of LP gas is still Rs 1,800. The government has also increased the price of aviation fuel (internal and external).
The price of aviation fuel has been increased by Rs 19 per liter internally and Rs 100 per kg externally, according to the corporation. Earlier, the corporation had increased the prices of petrol, diesel and kerosene only on June 10.
The corporation has said that the price has been increased by adjusting the price list sent by the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) last time. According to the list sent by the IOC on July 20, petrol has gone up by Rs 6.52 per liter and diesel by Rs 19.03.
