From now on, the booster vaccine against the corona virus will be available within three months of the completion of the first series. The National Vaccine Advisory Committee has decided to give booster vaccine three months after the completion of the first series of vaccinations of covid-19.
The Family Welfare Division of the Ministry of Health and Population has written to all the state health directorates, state health supply centers and all 77 district health offices requesting to give booster dose within three months of completing the first series of vaccinations.
“Based on the recommendation of the National Immunization Advisory Committee on March 29, 2078, the Government of Nepal, as per the decision of the Ministry of Health and Population, requests you to make arrangements to give one dose of booster vaccine three months after the completion of the first series.” The letter said.
Earlier, booster doses were given only six months after the first series of Covid-19 vaccines.
